| Description |
The Chair is responsible for the effectiveness of the board of directors, coordinating the work of our directors and members for the benefit of the families we help. Necessary experience and skills: Commitment to welcoming and supporting newcomers and the work of OHRA Leadership or management roles in business or non-profit organizations, or having served on a board Understanding of Canadian refugee sponsorship programs and the needs of newcomers (or willingness to learn) Strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills Ability to lead challenging discussions and build consensus Confidence using Zoom, Google Meet, email, WhatsApp, Google Drive Ability to actively and consistently fulfil responsibilities To apply: Please send a brief email of introduction along with your resume to [email protected]. |
| Training Details | The current Chair will be available for a two-month transition and is remaining as a director. Training on refugee sponsorship programs will be available. |
